What Do Pain And Swelling In The Face And Ears Indicate?
Right ear/right side of face and neck: Ear popping and pain with Valsalva, excruciating pain, swollen canal, muffled hearing. I have allergies and have been taking diphenhydramine. This was acute in occurrence. When I move my head it almost feels like liquid sloshing around
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain and swelling in the face and ears which seems to be due to accumulation of fluids and wax in ear, infected tooth in right quadrant and could be fungal infection of ear canal. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get otoscopic examination of ears done to find extent of infection. You should maintain cleanliness of ear canal. Get IOPA of right posterior quadrant done and start treatment accordingly. Do warm saline gargles. You should take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid touching or pricking ears with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
