What Do Pain And Tenderness In The Elbow Indicate?

I fell and broke my radius and ulna in my left wrist 10 days ago. A couple days ago I started feeling a lot of tenderness, pain, tingling on the soft tissue around my elbow in the same arm. When I held it up in the mirror I saw that my elbow and several inches all around it were completely black and blue and reddish brown. What would cause that kind of bruising? I never hit my elbow. Should I be concerned?

Pain and black discoloration following fracture and especially if you are on cast, is concerning for compartment syndrome. Compartment syndrome occurs due to reduced blood supply o the arms. Please be advised to follow up with the emergency room as soon as possible.
