Hi I m 19 years. I have got a number of small colorless hard bumps in my neck (below the chin) . It doesn t hurt but when you look closely you can see bumps here and there. What could it be? Although it s not too visible It s very embarrassing. What can I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful hard bumps on the neck . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , skin infection , eczema, bug bite and other medical condition. The lump can also occur due to lymph node swelling. I would suggest you to stop using any cosmetic product. You should apply warm compresses on it . You should take over the counter antihistamine medication like benadryl. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically , take history , order skin test for allergy and blood test. Doctor may order corticosteroid ointment, anti allergic medicine, antibiotics and may alter the dose of zolpidem or prescribe substitute. Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for sore throat or lymph node infection .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
