General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have not mentioned why your child was prescribed the antibiotics?

The rash your child is getting may be a result of the antibiotics combined with the constant diarrhoea which is causing irritation of the groin skin.

I would advise you to consult your pediatrician if the antibiotics can be stopped. You can give him probiotic sachets to control the diarrhea.

Do not wash the area with soap as it will cause more irritation. Keep the area dry and apply a mild powder.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma Amman
