Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I keep getting repeated spots on my tragus and at the side of my tragus on both ears. They start as very small very painful spots and grown to large lumps fulled with white liquid. If drained they come back several times before disappearing and then it clears up for a week and happens again
I can understand your concern. It seems that you are suffering from an ear infection that exudates pus near tragus so you do not have pain in the ear as the pressure and pus are drained out but it remains consistent till the infection is cured.
I advise you to start with the antibiotics first. You can take Cefixime 200 mg (Topcef) twice a day for 5 days and wait for the pus to dry out in that time.
However, if the pus is not eliminated or abscess happens frequently after the antibiotic course, you should visit an ENT specialist for the clinical examination of the ear. If the ENT specialist negates presence of infection in the ears, you should consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon as the infection might be around the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) cavity or surrounding area.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
