What Do Paranasal Sinus Disease With Mild Mucoperiosteal Thickening And Mucoperiosteal Thickening Involving The Maxillary Sinuses Suggest?

I recently had an MRI performed and the report says I have paranasal sinus disease with mild mucoperiosteal thickening involving the sphenoid and ethmoid sinuses and that there is moderate to severe right and mild left mucoperiosteal thickening involving the maxillary sinuses. What does all this mean?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

As per the report it is indication for a chronic sinusitis. If you have some clinical symptoms like post nasal drip,
Yellow or greenish mucous thick in consistency, light headedness and headache aggravates or increases while stooping forwards.

If above provided symptoms are associated with MRI report, you are suffering with chronic sinusitis.
To make accurate diagnosis you need to have a biopsy of the tissue done.

Hope my answer will help you, write us back in case any more assistance is needed.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
