General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Persistent bleeding on and off while on depo sot could be due to following reasons:
1. Presence of fibroid.
2. Presence of uterine or cervical polyp.
3. Endometrial dysfunction due to hyperplasia.
4. Hormonal imbalance.
You need to take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and blood checked for FSH and LH levels.
Kindly consult Gynecologist promptly with the report for per speculum examination and clinical evaluation to know what could be the cause for it.
Depending on the cause, it can be managed accordingly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
