Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Persistent Episodes Of Dizziness And Palpitations Indicate?
For several days (3) I have been experiencing daily episodes of heart racing/pounding, dizziness, shortness of breathe, feeling faint and seeing stars or white spots in my vision. Today I was taken by ambulance to a local hospital when I started with inability to feel I was getting enough oxygen, even with my rescue inhaler. I began vomiting, sweating and chest pain took over. I was released several hours later only being told I needed to follow up with my PCP and my EKG was normal. I felt completely dismissed and was discharged with the same pain and above symptoms mentioned still taking place as I was sent out the ER doors. I am severely suffering, no answers and only feel impending doom. What do I do??
I advise applying cold clothing to the bump area. Remember not to apply ice, only cold compresses for about a couple of days (i.e. today and tomorrow). Look for any local skin damage (injury, laceration or cut) at the bump area to properly clean and treat it. For the moment, there is nothing to be worried about. If the bump won't resolve within a couple of days, and you might feel pain or numbness, should consult an orthopedist to further evaluate joints and bones at the site of the bump. Please keep the wrist immobilized for some days by applying elastic immobilization bandage you can easily find at a local drugstore.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
