What Do Pulsations On The Head Indicate?

Hi I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the pulse on one side my head is weaker than the other? I have a stiff spot at the upper part of my right neck that my physiotherapist suspects is related to a vertabral artery and I have been suffering worsening headaches for the past two months as well as numbness in my head, all worse on the right side though present in both sides of my head. I went to the merge but the doctor could not detect and irregularity in my pulse though he only checked the veins in my neck. I am worried about vertabral artery occlusion and dissection.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

That is very rare entity for that mr venography should be done which can detect the problem very well but I think that's not necessary as your doctor doesn't advise you that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
