What Do Purple Rashes Are The Breasts Indicate?

You Hello, I have bruise (brownish/purple) like marks around my breasts ( mostly lower section ) they dont hurt and just appeared a couple months ago, they havent changed in size of color but look odd and out of place. I am currently breastfeeding ( for the past 2 years) I am wondering if I should be worried or are they common and will likely go away over time?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Any bruise indicates some form of trauma. Also 2 years is a long time to breast feed. I suggest you wean off breastfeeding at the soonest and kindly get the lesions reviewed by the concerned doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
