What Do Purple Spots On The Edges Of The Tongue Indicate?

Not sure what my age or gender has to do with it but after brushing my teeth a hour ago or so I noticed purple spots alongside the edges of my tongue. Like bruises from me biting my tongue like literally..there also seems to be a but of flush. What can help to reverse this because my teeth are getting sharper and I don t know. Should I take a multivitamin or stop oversleeping?
