What Do Rashes All Over The Body Indicate?

Rash all over trunk of body. Went to Dr. and saw a PA that said it was scabies. Prescribed a steroid and the rash became worse. Rash is random red bumps and itches like fire. It is now spreading down leg. She does NOT have rashing in the folds of skin (webbing of fingers, genitals, buttocks, etc).

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Steroid is not useful for scabies, it may aggravate the problem.
So better to use Permethrin, Benzyl Benzoate lotion or Lindane lotion over the body and do bathing after 1-2 hours.
Anti-histamine and antibiotics may be useful.
Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
