What Do Rashes And Swelling In The Face And Jaws Indicate?

My 82 yr old mom has a rash on her face. Left side only. About 2 in diameter. It started yesterday on her upper cheek and looked almost like a bad sun burn. Today it has moved down to her jaw, is now swollen, red, and has come crusty material on top. She says she is not in pain or doesn t have a fever. I have a photo I can attach if there is a way to do so.

Rash is indicative of allergic reaction. Ask about if she has applied something different on face or any insect bite. Is it with swelling? Antiallergic tablet like allerga or avil will take care of the rash.
