What Do Rashes On The Arms Indicate?

My boyfriend breaks out with a little patch of hives or some sort of rash immediately after shooting up meth.It only happens once in a while but when it does the rash (hives) appears in the same spot of his arm everytime. He said it isn t really painful or itchy just feels hot for a few mins and thats it. Id say his arm seems to clear up though usually within a couple hours after injecting and it looks as though nothing happened. Just curious as to what might be causing this kind of reaction.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. You might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons- some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, animal hair, nylon, terylene clothes. Just try to find out what you are allergic to & avoid it. Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week. If you are not better consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema. with regards- Dr Sanjay Kini
