What Do Rashes On The Face And Body Of An Infant Indicate?
Hello My daughter is about a month and a week or 2 old. About a week ago we noticed that she had bumps on face face and it started to spread on most of her body front and back. We think its a rash and was told to get some Aveeno but that has not worked, I think it irritates her because she tries to rub her face in our shirt if we hold her, Were wondering what is best for a newborn that can get rid of the rash, bumps and irritation?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think she doesn't have any rashes but those are rash like things on the baby's skin and is only that her skin is changing from the intrauterine one. It will stop by itself. I can't suggest you to give anything to such a small baby. Even allergic reactions are rare at this age. Keep her in observation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
