What Do Rashes On The Lower Abdomen Indicate?

I have large bruises on my lower abdomen not resulting from injury or accident. First, came the bruise on my right side, now a bruise has developed on my left side. The bruise on my right has been there for 5 months. I am looking for a possible cause.
