What Do Rashes On The Thighs Indicate?

Last Friday (12/15/17) I was given an enhanced CT with Iodine and the next day I experienced a rash on the inside of my thieghs and one side of my butt. My dermatologist prescribed an ointment for contact dermatitis. Then after looking at your web, the rash was a side effect of the iodine. How long will the rash last?

Hello,

Contrast induced rash may be due to skin allergy it recovery vary from few days to few weeks. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is and what extent it involved.

Use anti histamine and steroids or topical moisturizing creams. If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
