Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I have 2 red bumps on my vagina that I got 2 days ago and I don’t know what they are. One is right above my clitoris on the left side while the other is in the same position, but on the right. They are red but a little bit purple and white in a way and hurt when they’re touched. I have never had any sexual relations or anything of the sort. Do you know what this could be? Thank you for your time.
By your history and description, the possibility of infected Bartholincyst is more likely. These are glands present in labias. They enlarged and filled with liquid when got infected. So better to consult a gynecologist, and get done a clinical examination. Usually, antibiotic tablets, local antibiotic cream, avoidance of moisture and perspiration in private parts are sufficient for recovery. But sometimes surgical removal is also needed. So consult a gynecologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
