Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m Brenda a 31 year old woman, my question is I have red marks on my both legs on front and back for four months, they look like bruises they are starting to get darker, but they don t hurt, don t itch, there is no bumps, and they keep showing more.
Hello I notice you mention you have red marks on your legs for several months that do not itch nor hurt. If they are small and circular, they are called petechiae, and they could indicate a bleeding disorder with low platelets or blood disorder such as leukemia. Do you have any other symptoms such as fatigue, fever, or abdominal pain which could help with the diagnosis? There is also a condition called erythema nodosum which can appear similarly and is a sign of possible infections such as tuberculosis or a condition called sarcoidosis. In summary I suggest you get a check up, as these lesions are new, and were not there before. Best regards
