What Do Red Patches On The Cheeks And Lips Indicate?
Hello ! Sir/madam, Actually, I was taking tobacco since last 3 and half years and but nowadays I am not taking it from last 4-5 months because I see many symptoms in my mouth like red patches in both side in inside my chicks and lips, thinning of skin and all....so ,surely I wanna leave it out and never again. So ,please advise me any medicine to cure it. I will be very grateful and thankful to u. PRABHAT RANJAN AGE-18Yrs.
Red patches on the cheeks when you have a history of tobacco chewing habit can be due to causes like inflammation causing burning and pain.. But if the patches are not improving then it can be due to Erythroplakia..
So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated.. If there is any doubt then a biopsy of the area can be done for confirmation of the exact nature of the lesion..
For now you can apply Kenacort [triamcinolone] ointment over the patches and take multivitamin and lycopene supplements.. Completely avoid chewing tobacco or any other forms of tobacco..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
