Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband first had symptoms about 2 days ago. He has long, dark colored red streaks on his back. At first glance, it looked as though someone had really scratched him. However, the skin has not been broken and there was no bleeding. Today, he complained of chills and pain in the area. He has not had the shingles shot and has a compromised immune system b/c of the 10 strokes he has suffered. No blisters have appeared, but something is definitely wrong. He is 75 years old & is a white male that cannot remember whether or not he has had chicken pox. Your thoughts?
You had done a right thing of getting surgery for gallstones. Gall stones create a lot of complications. Generally drain is placed to remove fluids, pus etc at site of surgery. Removal of drain depends on the contents and quantity of fluids coming out of the drain in last 24 hours.
Take Care!
