What Do Red Spots On The Arms Indicate?

Hello, I have been noticing over the last month or so that I have been developing red spots on my arms. Sometimes I notice them when I wake up and they fade over the day. Today I noticed them around noontime and they are still visible but fading. They do not itch, however, I have noticed that overall my skin has been drier than normal with itchy patches. Thank you for your time and expertise, Michelle L. Burke

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Red spots may be due to allergic skin reactions seen in utricaria or eczema. Also due to Mosquito bites or vasculitis or petechiae or purpura etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Avoid soaps or moisturizing cream that may cause allergy. Use tablet Atarax twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
