What Do Red Spots On The Back Of The Mouth Indicate?
2 days ago i started with a few sore red spots on the back of my mouth. Yesterday i was feeling really unwell and was spiking a fever at 39+. I quite a bit better today in myself, but still got a really sore mouth and throat. I now have more spots at the back of my mouth as well as in the insides of my cheecks and lips. I am visiting my mum so cant just pop to my local drs.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red spots on the back of the mouth. Well there can be many reasons for these spots like pharyngitis, oral thrush, oral herpes and tonsillitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain complete oral hygiene. Avoid intake of oily and spicy food and drink plenty of fluids. You should consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and start treatment as per examination. Usually tonsils will clean themselves so you just need to do warm saline gargles .If condition doesn't get better then consult oral pathologist .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
