What Do Round And Discoloured Bruises On The Feet Indicate?

I rarely have any bruises but they are typical round and just a bruise. As an FYI, I am coming to the end of a two week round of imiquimod cream. On the top of my left foot there is a discoloration about 3x3 inches which is not dark, actually more of a medium gray color. Just wanted to make sure this is not a serious issue. I am 64, 5 8 , 165 lbs. and it good health other than lots of sun damaged skin

Hello,

Some possible causes of foot discoloration include injuries, Raynaud's disease, peripheral arterial disease, and frostbite. Skin can become blue or purple due to bruising, but this color change can also indicate that not enough oxygen-rich blood is reaching the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
