Help. My boyfriend and I have just started having sex. Our first time was about 2 weeks ago and our secounds time was 2 says ago. I have been tested before for studs and all negative and I haven t been with anyone since before my last testing. He on the other hand has never been tested before. But his previous sexual encounters where with former girlfriends who claimed they where tested. Our problem is that this morning he woke up to a few bumps on his left side of this penis shaft. I should also mention that after the first time he got bad rug burn on that side as well ,it cleared u p so we thought nothing of it. But now this time around he has these little bumps, no itching, no burning, nothing of here than these bumps. What couuld it possibly b e?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
First of all, I would like to tell you that your partner only have small bumps over the penis. It is not associated with discharge, redness, itching or tingling. Most of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) results in discharge, mild fever, itching and redness. While in herpes, severe painful blisters are seen over the penis. So based on the description you have provided, these small bumps might not be due to any STD. Dryness and mechanical friction could have resulted in appearance of such bumps. But for exact diagnosis detailed examination is needed. Abstain from sexual activities for a few days and avoid any hard frictional rubs. You can apply moisturizer cream or lotion over the affected parts twice daily for a week to ten days.
Consult doctor if the lesions do not subside and if fresh symptoms appears along with it.
Hope the information provided helps.
Take care.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
