What Do Small Itchy Spots In The Groin Area Indicate?

Hey, I have 2 quarter size spots in the groin area on one side Been there for a whoile now. Hasn t spread, gotten better or any worse. Most of the time I barely notice it. Wakes me up at night itching and itches pretty bad after a bath. I ve tried Nystatin, antifungal cream, hydrocortisone and currently Calamine lotion ( suggested by my gynecologist). Nothing works. Should I see a dermatologist for this? Any other suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Fungus thrives on warm and moist skin like groin. That’s why fungal infections are more common in summer. Contributing factors are high humidity, heat, perspiration, diabetes mellitus, obesity, friction from clothes. Transmission occurs via infected towels, linens, and clothing. Infection can be avoided by lifestyle and hygiene modifications.
Advice
1.     Apply Nizral (ketoconazole) lotion every 8 hours daily for 15 days
2.     Fluconazole 50 mg daily per oral for 7 days
3.     Use Fluconazole dusting powder to keep your groin area dry
4.     Do not use calamine lotion for this purpose
5.     Wear loose cotton undergarment
6.     Avoid sharing clothing, towels, or bed sheets
7.     Wash clothes and bed sheets in hot water with fungicidal soap
8.     Do not scratch to much
9.     Take high protein diet such as eggs and cheese to boost immunity
10.     Investigation – blood sugar (F & PP)
Thanks
