What Do Small Red Bumps On The Back Indicate?

small red bumps appeared on my daughters back a few days ago.. right above the waistline. I thought is could be a patch of spider bites. Area affected about size of a quarter. Now she has these red bumps in the front where her underwear are, only on one side. Thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think it would be better to see a photo of the bumps you are referring to in order to give a more accurate answer.

There is a possibility of her having a bacterial infection. Also, the parasitic intestinal infestation may give these red bumps on the skin.

In this case, a parasitic stool test should be done and antiparasitic treatment is needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
