Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got some sores on my right side of upper lip, sores are small but one looks like filled with pus kind, these are not burning sensation type, no pain or very very less pain is there, these developed in just last three days, after i came from my dental doctor but don t know, if this is related with any UN-hygienic or touched with some instrument that was not sterilized.
Sores on the upper lip that are not very painful with just irritation can be most probably due to allergic reaction or can be due to slight infection in that area.. It can also be due to hair follicle infection or folliculitis..
As they are very small as well as not painful, you need not to worry about it as it will most probably tend to resolve soon..
If the symptoms worsen, you can apply antiseptic ointment over it and also do cool compresses.. You should keep the area clean and dry and avoid scratching to avoid spread of infection..
If the symptoms does not improve in next 4-5 days or continue to progress then you can consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
