What Do Spasms In The Throat Indicate?

Had EDG yesterday and now it feels like my throat is spasming while swallowing food. I sometimes have the urge to burp but can t seem to get it out and I get pain in my throat again. This is my 2nd EDG in 6 months. I take Protonix 40mg once daily. Is the pain really a spasm and if so is this normal after EDG?

Pain in the throat is not uncommon after EDG , this is an irritating type of pain and is mostly because of sort of trauma to the throat with the process, this is not some thing serious in little time it should settle hopefully.
