What Do Spotting And Delayed Periods Indicate?

Can you please advise. I m 32 not on any contraceptives for many years, first miscarriage July 2010 and Jan 2012 no pregnancy since then still trying. We are now on the waiting list for ivf. I always hv regular periods never miss other than when I fell pregnant. My last period started 16/6/15. This month I m late no period the pregnancy test is negative. I tested last Tues and today. I had tiny brown spotting on the days I was expecting my period. Should I be worried?

Hi,

Home pregnancy test is reliably positive after 8 days delay in period so your test before expected day of period aught to be negative. The spotting on the expected menstruation day can be an implantation bleeding, but confirmation would be only with positive pregnancy test (blood HCG test can be done around menstrual date / home pregnancy test after 8 days of expected menstrual day).
