Hello,

Though clinical co relation is a must with lab findings, I would like to emphasise some of the relevant facts for your query

Squamous metaplasia means the epithelium gets converted to squamous pattern from previously normal architecture as part to adopt the changes induced by the possible tissue insult via underlying pathology as happens after smoking or else.

The acute and chronic inflammation indicates recruitement of various inflammatory cells as neutrophis (in acute phase) and lymphocytes, macrophages in chronic inflammation , which is part and parcel of body immune response to attack the tissue trauma or pathology.

Dysplastic epithelium with koilocytic atypia is secondary to cervical inflammation following Human Papilloma Virus strains of 6, 11 (in benign issue) and 16, 18, 21, 24 and others (in malignant issue) and can be considered an early sign of underlying cancer if not treated promptly and timely.

However, I would recommend to discuss the details with your treating physician or surgeon as these are relevant facts only based on the narration of words and not relevant with particular case details.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
