What Do Stiff Joints And Muscles With Tingling And Numb Feet Indicate?

Hi I m having blood tests done on Friday and just wanted to check I have stiff painful joints and muscles, from my neck down to my feet with tingling and numbness in my feet and tingling in my hands and find it difficult to do every day cooking opening jars and peeling veg is this to do with my been tested for rheumatoid arthritis which my grandma had?

Rheumatoid arthritis is diagnosed based on symptoms, imaging and blood tests. A combination of these is used for diagnosis.

It is possible but if you have been tested and this ruled out then another cause needs to be considered.

The other autoimmune illnesses would need to be ruled out eg lupus.

Other causes of abnormal sensations such as the numbness/tingling such as: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2)diabetes
(3)liver or kidney disease
(4)trauma
(5)side effect of medication
(6)autoimmune disease or other hormonal diseases

Blood tests for vitamin b12 or folate deficiency, screen for diabetes, liver or kidney disease.
If any problem is noted then this can be treated.
