Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Swelling And Inflammation On The Penis Indicate?
I recently had back surgery and had a catheter overnight in the hospital. It was removed the following morning without complication but now several days later my penis and testicals are red/purple and terribly swollen. I have no fever, normal urination with no pain. Is that normal?
Hello and welcome to 'Ask me Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Inflammation and swelling is usually associated with pain. They are also associated with malaise or fever. You are having no other symptoms except swelling and redness. So without examination diagnosis is not possible. Please consult dermatologist for proper evaluation and diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
