What Do Swelling And Redness In The Left Eye Indicate?

Last Sunday around 2:15 pm, I noticed that my left eye became red and swollen. It was very tender to the touch. The redness and hurting lasted until Tuesday..12/28. The eye is still red but their are "Floaters" and the left eye is blurry.(like a protective film over the eye). I did not put any eye wash or any other ointment in the eye.
What is your opinion?
Thank you.

You should visit an ophthalmologist as soon as you can. Usualy red eye is due to conjuctivitis which may pass with eye drops antibiotics or sometimes without medication at all. But sometimes it might be a serios sign of any other eye condition wich may affect your vision if u treated, like kerato-conjuctivitis, bacteriol of herpetic. so if you still have foreing body sensation, redness and blured vision go check with the ophthalmologist.
