What Do Swelling And Redness On The Cheekbone Indicate?
On top of my cheek bone it is red, swollen and there are white colored heads dotted around in sort of a circle. It doesn t hurt and there s no pressure. It started yesterday with just the redness and a little swelling. It has gotten worse looking throughout the day.
As per your query you have symptoms of swelling and redness on the cheekbone which is due to water retention, minor injury to the zygomatic bone area and could be due to excessive exposure to sun and fatigue.
I would suggest you to wash your face with face wash containing benzoyl peroxide twice a day. Apply cream containing azelaic acid which is a cereal extract and totally safe for use. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist for proper examination and rule out other causes. If it is due o injury/trauma visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon once and get it examined an start treatment accordingly. Also apply vitamin E oil before going to bed and keep cucumber pieces on eyes for 15 minutes daily.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
