What Do Swollen Lymph Nodes, Dry Skin And Hair Loss Indicate?
Hello. I have been having some issues over the past month that I am concerned about. My lymph nodes have been swollen for the past month. The last few weeks my throught is sore to the touch. I have always had really dry skin, cold hands from one to the other, anxiety and depression over the last 6 years and now my hair has started thinning very badly at the crown. I spoke with my mother around three weeks ago and she said she had to have the surgery for hypothyroidism. I had the testing done about 6 years ago with a biopsy and they said it was normal. My mother says hers came back the same but they went the extra step and did a MRI and found a lump on her thyroid that was removed. So now I am truly concerned as to what to do. What are your thoughts?
The lymph nodes can be swollen due to an infection, and since your throat is also itchy, maybe the sore throat is causing the inflammation and swelling of the lymph nodes. If you are still suspecting any thyroid issues, get a thyroid profile done. Also, get your CBC, ESR done. Follow up with your reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
