What Do Swollen Lymph Nodes On The Face And Neck Indicate?

I have what I believe to be swollen lymph nodes in the neck and face. I often get large abscesses still unexplained, and now have a large lump on my chin as well as one on the inside of my arm opposite of my elbow. I get a sensation of movement or a craeling sensation in my fave neck and head. I m worried about something with the lymphatic system. Please help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I can understand your concern regarding the presence of lymph nodes around your neck and face.
Lymph nodes often swell in one location when a problem such as an injury, infection, or tumor develops in or near the lymph node.
Which lymph nodes are swollen can help identify the problem.
The glands on either side of the neck, under the jaw, or behind the ears commonly swell when you have a cold or sore throat.
So far as getting large abscesses often,it is due to low immunity and that is why you have recurrent abscesses.
Do not worry, there is nothing wrong with your lymphatic system.
Taking vitamin C 500 mg once daily for a longer period of time will certainly help boosting your immunity.
Please feel free to ask a followup question if there is any confusion.
Thanks,
Dr.Prabhas Verma
