What Do The MRI Results Indicate?

Hello Doctor, I am looking for someone to translate these MRI results for me.FINDINGS: normal homogeneous signal intensity of both cerebral hemispheres without mass or SOL.The Brain however reveals and recommended to be under developed bilaterally and symmetrically with widening of CFS spaces bilaterally.No Mass or SOL is noted in both cerebral hemispheres.No Hydrocephalus is seen.No shift of middline structures noted.Posterior fossa and both CP angels & 7-8th nerve roots complexes unremarkable.

Thanks for writing in to us.

I will explain your MRI findings in simple language.
1. Normal homogeneous signal intensity of both cerebral hemispheres without mass or SOL.
This means that there is no structural abnormality in you right and left brain.

2. The Brain however reveals and recommended to be under developed bilaterally and symmetrically with widening of CFS spaces bilaterally.
There is slight features of underdevelopment as seen by prominent brain surface markings.

3. No Mass or SOL is noted in both cerebral hemispheres.
No tumors are seein in the brain.

4. No Hydrocephalus is seen.
Pressure of fluids inside the brain is normal.

5. No shift of middline structures noted.
There is nor pressure effects seen in the brain.

6. Posterior fossa and both CP angels & 7-8th nerve roots complexes unremarkable.
The smaller brain is normal.

In conclusion, there is slight underdevelopment features in your brain. Please discuss it with your neurologist.
