What Do The TSH Level Indicate During Conception?

Hi , Today, we got the test results - TSH for my wife ; 5.73 ulU/mL . We are looking for a baby?what is the precaution we have to take to reduce the TSH ?? please give your advise to us?oDoctor suggested - prescribes Thyrowel tablets for 30 days.

Hi there. She has hypothyroidism for which medications have been prescribed. Don't worry. She will be better in a month or two. The tsh levels will be normal by then. It won't affect her chances of pregnancy when corrected. But you need to check her tft-thyroid function test every trimester during pregnancy. Please see an endocrinologist after a month with the tft report. Good luck to you both. Take care. Best wishes.
