Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do The Abdominal X Ray And CAT Scan Report Indicate?
I was twice diagnosed by abdominal x-rays aand contrast Cat scan with an ileus . I then had a third contrast CAT and it showed a questionable area near the illeum but not an illeus. I am awaiting the results of a C-diff test. I have ridiculous burping and have had it for 10 days, also runny stools (typical for me as I take Linzess) and intermitant stomach pain, especially ater eating
From the way you describe the results, it did not show that you had bowel obstruction caused by an ileus. It did however apparently show an area of notability in you lower intestines. This area can be many things, from lymph nodes, localized swelling to cancer. The findings on your CAT-scan would in most cases lead to further investigations.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Maria Riechel-Sarup, General & Family Physician
