What Do The Elevated Levels Of EBV Antibodies Indicate?

I finally got my 4th and final EBV lab test done (the Epstein Barr Ab Early Antigen) and it came back as 78.3 (range is (February) EBV IgM Ab 20.3 unit/mL ( (February) *EBV Nuclear Ag 266.0 unit/mL ( (February) *EBV IgG Cap Ag 374.0 unit/mL ( (May) *EBV Early Ab 78.3 unit/mL ( I should also mention that I had mono in 2005 once before and was very symptomatic with a terrible sore throat, could only eat liquids, could not get out of bed, felt very ill, but recovered just fine. In July 2013 I had a small rash of shingles on my neck and prescribed acyclovir. Have had a very stressful job for years, high emotional stress, anxiety, and hypothyroidism. I m not sure what steps to take next. I am breastfeeding. What prompted me to fm have these tests done is lethargy, feeling unwell in general, generalized anxiety, vision problems while driving, and new and worsening vestibular symptoms. I have had many labs drawn and all normal except anemic after giving birth.

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the issue of elevated levels of Ebstein barr virus antibodies indicate previous Parvo infection with immunity against the same.

It is the IgM antibody which is in relation to acute onset of the infection and IgG with that of chronic duration of disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
