What Do The Following Blood Test Results Indicate?
My blood work showed that I have low T4,Free(Direct), Vitamin D, Thyroxine (T4), MCHC and Bilirubin. I also have high LDL Cholesterol Calc, Cholesterol Total, and Glucose, Serum. I have a follow up appointment in a few weeks, but I am just curious of what this may indicate. Thank you.
Welcome at HCM I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns. what is ur age? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? Lab results should always be interpreted in context of clinical history and examination.. On basis of mere lab results which u have mentioned , it may appear that you are HYPOTHYROID mean your thyroid hormones are less. also YOU have got Vit D deficiency as well as ANEMIA too. On the other hand, you have got high serum glucose levels . Are u diabetic? You also have got raised cholesterol levels. you may need medications to lower your cholesterol level.. Meet your PHYSICIAN so that all your lab results can be correlated clinically Meanwhile stay calm and continue with your medications if u are using some. Get well soon Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask Regards Dr Saad Sultan
