What Do The Following Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

My husband had his semen analysis done and he thinks that the result wasn t good, does the amount of sperm caught in the jar matter? The rapid and slow progression is 5% respectively, non progression 40% and the in-motile 50%. Is the good or bad? He is 42 yrs old

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern.
Generally sperm collect in clean container and it is seen under the microscope for the motility and count. So container does not affect the sperm report.
Please upload full sperm analysis for better evaluation.
Normal motility should be greater than 40%.
But you have very low motility: 5 +5 =10 %.
So by this motility natural pregnancy is not possible.
I would suggest to consult the urologist and undergo proper evaluation like USG doppler, semen culture for management.
Hope this may help you
