Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, am asking for my Dad. He has undergone angioplasty last year. He had a review check up this month, his blood reports regarding blood sugar, Cholesterol was normal. He is taking the baseline drugs. He has taken the TMT and it shows some variations. He is currently taking the drugs: Deplait 75mg(0-1-0), Rozat 5mg(0-0-1), Envas 2.5mg(0-0-1), Flavedon MR(0-0-1), Starcad 12.5 mg(1-0-0). Please tell me whether I have to investigate Angiography further? again. Is this report shows serious?I have attached my Fathers CURRENT TMT REPORTS. Regards, Anjana
Hello Anjana, Thanks for posting in HCM. Well, TMT reports attachment could not be found. But, after going through the description, it appears that if your Dad has variations in TMT, it only indicates that he is unable to adapt well for strenuous physical work at this stage. He can very well perform his routine things normally. Since his blood sugar and cholesterol is normal, you need not worry much and continue the prescribed medications regularly. If you need to investigate further, you can get and ECG and Echo-cardiogram done to know about the functioning status of his heart. Only thing he needs to avoid at this stage is physical over exertion and psychological stress. Gradually, over a period of 6 months to 1 year, he should show more improvement. All the best.
