What Do The Following Test Reports Indicate?

hi doctor, i got a papsmear report. would you please explain to me the result? here are the results: specimen adequacy: - satisfactory harmorrhagic smear - no endocervical cells present - endometrial cells are noted interpretation cervical smear - negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be drawn from the PAP smear report you have enclosed.
1. Specimen quantity is adequate.
2. It is a hemorrhagic specimen.
3. No endocervical cells are present.
4. Endometrial cells are present.
Since none of the above findings suggest abnormality of cells or findings related to cancer, it is negative for malignancy.
Hence the report can be considered as normal.
