What Do The Following Thyroid Test Results Indicate?
Currently My T3,T4 levels are normal I had parathyroid surgery many, many years ago and consistently prescribed .125 synthyroid. All of sudden the numbers were off and dosage was reduced to .75. 1. I thought I was dying the results were so severe. My doctor continues to try adjustments with the dosages plus adding liothyronine 5mcg. Again, T3 T$ are OK but my total TSH is almost nonexistent and I just don t feel well. I ve finally been referred to an endocrinologist but can t been seen for 3 months!! Any insight?
The report indicates that there is over suppression of TSH via negative feedback inhibition from free T4 hormone and that is why the TSH level is very low.
Still, further dose adjustment of current medications is mandatory to correct the TSH level.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
