this is a result of my x ray....chest shows fibronodular densities at the lung with cystic lucency there are infiltrates at the right lung field trachea is elevated to the left cardiac border not defined... am i sick? Is it curable? Please answer my query...
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion your x ray findings are suggestive of old healed scar because of previous lung insult. Any lung insult whether tuberculosis, pneumonia or trauma , once treated can be healed by following mechanisms. 1. Fibrosis 2. Calcification 3. Bronchiectesis (cystic lesion) 4. Rarely complete resolution. So your x ray findings are more in favour of healed , old lesion. You might be having tuberculosis in the past which gives you current x ray findings. So if you are healthy and not having any symptoms than no need to worry much for these x ray findings.
