What Do The Test Results Indicate?

My husband's microalbumin is 159 (0-19 normal on this testing facility) His A1c is 5.6 and his diabeties is well under control. His platelet count is 88, hgb 11.5, Hct.5.7 RBc 3.99 Retic ciunt 1.74, white count is 4.4 RDW16.9, ABSOLUTE LYMPH 1.1. He does not have a virus or infection and his iron studies are normal. Could any of these be connected to a certain disease or condition?

Hi,
All the levels are near normal except for microalbumin in urine. It is increased and is usually one of the early indicators of renal damage.
In patients with uncontrolled diabetes, diabetic nephropathy occurs leading to damage to blood vessels and glomerulus.
It is an early indicator, and nothing to worry. Diabetic control should be continued as before so that overt diabetic nephropathy does not develop.
Hemoglobin and platelet count is low. It suggest a possible Vit B12 or folic acid deficiency. You can take supplements and after 15 days, do a repeat retic count test to evaluate bone marrow response.
Hope this helps.
Any further query, happy to help again.
