What Do These BP Readings Indicate?

I have had my blood pressure taken multiple times over the last several months and I have not had any doctors say I need medication. They have all asked if it is always this high and I say I am not sure because I do not know how to take it. But it has been running 153/113; 175/116; 137/98 to me this sounds very high. Do I need to go an specifically ask to be put on medication. I know I need to make some lifestyle changes but will that be enough?
