What Do These EKG Test Results For Headache, Chest Pain And Breathlessness Indicate?
hello my husband is an overall healthy 33yr old active man who has been complaining of severe headache, no appetite, chest pain, shortness of breath, hot flashes, dizziness, and has had very high bloop pressure 205/150 today. he isn't one to complain about feeling sick and is generally stubborn about going to the doctor. He was basically pacing the floors in panic because of discomfort. we came to the hospital and he had an ekg done. here are his results; vent rate 110bpm PR interval 144ms QRS duration 92ms< QT/QTc 470/636 ms P-R-T axes 78 104 68 Next to these numbers is a list of scary things! please help me understand this! Thank you! Sinus tachycardia Biatrial enlargement Rightward axis Pulmonary disease pattern Incomplete right bundle branch block Prolonged QT Abnormal ECG
** 1. going through the EKG report there is definite right side pathology [pulmonary embolism should be excluded first] but since EKG should not be used as a diagnostic tool for diagnosing/assessing the condition but awareness of EKG abnormalities along with patient condition [symptoms] may help the physician [cardiologist] to further evaluate for medical management or surgical intervention.
